Why Choose River Valley Farm Life?

In a world full of "factory farms" and food labels you can't pronounce, we believe you deserve better. When you buy from us, you're not just purchasing lamb or beef—you're getting peace of mind, genuine flavor, and a direct connection to the people who care for your food, start to finish.

Transparency you can taste:

Every animal we raise is given a good life, from their first breath to their last day. Our open pastures, clean water, and careful stewardship mean you get meat that's healthier, more flavorful, and raised with integrity.

Real, regenerative agriculture:

We lean into nature, not chemicals. Rotational grazing, rainwater collection, and careful land management all add up to food that's better for you and the planet.

Family tradition, modern care:

This isn't a corporate operation—it's just us: Angela (the heart and founder), Aaron (her right hand and next-generation farmer), and the same small-town values passed down from our family's roots in western Oklahoma.

Our animals roam freely on expansive pastures, never confined to cramped spaces. Each species has access to shelter, clean water, and plenty of room to express their natural behaviors.

Stress-Free Environment

Low-stress handling techniques and quiet, calm environments ensure our animals live peacefully. We believe happy animals produce the best quality meat.

Natural Diet & Nutrition

Grass-fed and pasture-raised, our animals enjoy their natural diet supplemented only when necessary. No growth hormones, no unnecessary antibiotics.

Our Story

River Valley Farm Life started in 2020, during a time when the world slowed down and many people began to rethink what really matters. For Angela, it was a chance to return to the calling she first discovered as a child, spending summers with her grandfather—a legendary cattleman whose tireless work ethic and faith left a mark on everyone who knew him.

What began on a humble seven acres behind our home in Spiro, Oklahoma, has grown to include Sunset Corner (76 acres under development) and Nubbin Ridge Ranch (190 acres and counting). We're still small, but we're growing the right way—step by step, animal by animal, acre by acre.

What We Offer

  • Angus and Hereford cattle—classic, time-tested beef breeds known for their flavor and quality.
  • Dorper and Katahdin sheep—hardy, pasture-raised, and selected for tenderness and taste. (We also have a few St. Croix sheep, but are phasing them out.)
  • Dog jerky treats—inspired by Josie, our loyal farm dog. We believe in honoring the whole animal, so nothing goes to waste.
